Day 01 Welcome to Shillong:
On arrival at Shillong/ Guwahati Airport we will receive you and proceed to Shillong city, also called as “Scotland of the East”. It takes almost 1 hour (3 hours from Guwahati) to reach the City. While traveling you may visit the Lum Nehru Park at Umium and majestic Barapani (Umiam Lake) wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-Pines and surrounded by sylvan hills and blue skies. By reaching Shillong check in a hotel and relax. Evening you may go for shopping at police bazaar. Stay overnight at Shillong.
Day 02 Explore Shillong & Mawphlang David Scott Trail:
After breakfast check out from hotel and visit some tourist destinations in Shillong i.e. Cathedral Church, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Elephant Falls, definitely the most popular tourist site of Shillong. Explore Sacred Forest and David Scott Trail expands up to 16 km and can be covered in 4 hours. The trek is such as cascading waterfalls, crystal clear streams gushing down from mountains, typical Khasi villages, scenic valleys. After trekking of David Scott drive to Cherrapunji. By reaching Cherrapunji check in a hotel/ resort and overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 03 Cherrapunji Excursion:
After breakfast explore the Cherrapunji which is credited as being the wettest place on the Earth. Visit some major tourist attraction of Cherrapunji like- Garden of Caves, Dain-Thlen Falls, Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Eco Park Seven Sister Falls, Mausmai Cave, Thangkharang Park (Wednesday closed), Kynrem Falls etc. Evening come back to hotel/ resort and stay overnight at Cherrapunji.
Day 04 Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trekking & Rainbow Falls:
After breakfast proceed to trekking of Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village. Meghalaya’s most famous root bridge, the “Double-Decker” Living Root Bridge. This immensely beautiful place can only be reached after climbing down 3500 steps. Also you may explore Rainbow Water Fall Trek. Evening come back to hotel and overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 05 Mawryngkhang Trek (Bamboo Trail) & Mawlynnong Village:
After early breakfast check out from hotel and drive to experience The Bamboo Trail Meghalaya or Mawryngkhang Trek is the latest addition in the adventure activities in Meghalaya. Located in the Khasi village Wahkhen lies on the popular Shillong to Dawki route. En-route you may enjoy the panoramic view of Mawkdok Dympep Valley from Duwan Shing Syiem viewpoint. After completing the trekking drive to Mawlynnong Village, check in a guest house and relax. Stay overnight at Mawlynnong.
Day 06 Explore Mawlynnong Cleanest Village & Dawki:
Early morning enjoy the rural life style of Mawlynnong village, known as the cleanest village in Asia and the God’s own Garden. Enjoy Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village. After breakfast check out from guest house and visit the Living Root Bridge in Rewai village, a natural bridge formed with the roots of the trees. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge.
Next proceed to Dawki, a small village where the main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. You can enjoy boat riding on crystal clear water in Umngot River (Shnongpdeng village) which is shared by India and Bangladesh. Take a glance of Indo Bangladesh Gate. Evening return to Shillong and stay overnight at Shillong.
Day 07 Shillong to Manas National Park:
After breakfast check out from hotel and beginning our journey to wildlife destination Manas National Park in the state of Assam. Manas National Park is situated within the foothills of Himalaya in the north bank of the Brahmaputra River. The forest is very rich in species of all Indian wildlife. Here we may get a chance to view the rare and endangered Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog. By reaching Manas check in a resort and relax. Evening you may enjoy the vicinity around the resort and Traditional Dance Show. Overnight stay at Manas.
Day 08 Explore Manas National Park & shift to Guwahati:
Morning we will start our day little early and will move for our first Jungle ride (Elephant safari) to the Manas National Park. The wildlife safari is the best medium to explore a wildlife sanctuary and view the wildlife closely. This safari will take us to the dense and narrow paths to increasing the chances of animal sighting. After Jungle ride come back to the resort for fresh-n-up and breakfast. After breakfast check out from resort and we will start our vehicle Safari inside the national park which may take you to Mathanguri where Manas River divides Manas National Park and Royal Manas National park of Bhutan (Indo-Bhutan Border). The area offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes. After completing the safari come back to the entrance (Bansbari) of the forest by vehicle as it is 20 km. Having lunch and drive to Guwahati, by reaching Guwahati check in a hotel and overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 09 Guwahati local sightseeing:
Early in the mooring 5 O’clock proceed to darshan of Maa Kamakhya Temple located at top of the Nilachal hill in heart of the Guwahati city. After visiting the temple come back to hotel and having breakfast explore the Guwahati city. The city is a major tourist place in Assam due to its scenic natural beauty. The river Mighty Brahmaputra flowing through the city. Experience the India’s longest Ropeway over the river Brahmaputra, State Emporium, world smallest River Island Umananda, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra, Shri Balaji Temple which were very beautiful and clean. In the evening enjoy the River Cruise Ride on the river Mighty Brahmaputra to view the excellent sunset scenery with good music and light snacks. Visit Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre, Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 10 Guwahati Airport / Rly Station Drop, Tour End:
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and transfer to Airport / Railway station for your onward journey with an everlasting memory.
