7 Nights 8 Days Tour Manas National Park - Shillong - Laitlum Canyons - Krang Suri - Dawki - Mawlynnong - Cherrapunji - Guwahati
Day 01 Welcome to Guwahati & shift to Manas National Park:
On arrival at Guwahati Airport we will receive you and transfer to our first wildlife destination in the state Manas National Park. The Park is situated within the foothills of Himalaya in the north bank of the Brahmaputra River. The forest is very rich in species of all Indian wildlife. Here we may get a chance to view the rare and endangered Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog. By reaching Manas check in a resort, after having lunch take a Vehicle Safari inside the national park which may take for two hours approximately. Here we will be moving on the wild path of Manas National Park to explore the most stunning pristine wildlife inhabitant. Evening you may enjoy the vicinity around the resort and Traditional Dance Show. Overnight stay at Manas.
Day 02 Manas National Park Excursion – Shillong:
In the morning we will start our day little early and will move for our first Jungle ride (Elephant safari) to the Manas National Park. The wildlife safari is the best medium to explore a wildlife sanctuary and view the wildlife from a very close. This safari will take us to the dense and narrow paths to increasing the chances of animal sighting. After Jungle ride come back to the resort for fresh-n-up and breakfast. After breakfast check out from resort and we will start our second vehicle safari Mathanguri where Manas River divides Manas Nation Park and Royal Manas National park of Bhutan (Indo-Bhutan Border). The area offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes. Before 3 pm you have to come back to the entrance (Bansbari) of the jungle by vehicle as it is 20 km. after having lunch drive to Shillong, by reaching Shillong check in a hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 03 Explore Laitlum Canyons – Durga Mandir – Phe Phe Falls & Krang Suri Falls:
After early breakfast proceed to enjoy one of the most popular picturesque tourist destinations, of Shillong is The Laitlum Canyons, which in literal sense means “The End of Hills” or “The End of The World”. Then proceed to visit 600 years old Shri Nartiang Durga Mandir located near Jowai town. Explore Phe Phe Falls known as Paradise waterfall located in Shkentalang village on the Jowai Dawki Road. Next visit the most beautiful waterfalls Krang Suri. The view points to enable visitors to better appreciate the beauty of the waterfall and its surroundings. The footpaths are hewn from the natural multi colored stones available in the area. Evening return to Shillong and stay overnight at Shillong.
Day 04 Dawki & Mawlynnong cleanest village Excursion:
After early breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Dawki, a small village where the main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. You can enjoy boat riding on crystal clear water in Umngot River (Shnongpdeng village) which is shared by India and Bangladesh. Take a glance of Indo Bangladesh Gate. After Dawki sightseeing, drive to Mawlynnong Village known as the cleanest village in Asia and the God’s own Garden. Visit the Living Root Bridge in Riwai village, a natural bridge formed with the roots of the trees. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge. Enjoy the rural lifestyle inside the village, experience Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village. After completing the sightseeing drive to Cherrapunji and stay overnight at Cherrapunji.
Day 05 Cherrapunji Sightseeing & shift to Shillong:
After breakfast check out from hotel and enjoy the sightseeing of Cherrapunji which is credited as being the wettest place on the Earth. Famous tourist attraction of Cherrapunji i.e. Thangkharang Park, Seven Sister Falls, Mausmai Cave, Eco Park, Nohkalikai Falls, Arwah Cave. After having lunch visit Dain Thlen Falls, Garden of Caves. Then drives to Shillong en-route enjoy the panoramic view of Mawkdok Dympep Valley from Duwan Shing Syiem viewpoint. Evening check in a hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 06 Shillong Sightseeing & shift to Guwahati:
After breakfast check out from hotel and enjoy some local sightseeing of Shillong, also called as “Scotland of East”. Visit Cathedral Church, Ward’s Lake, Police Bazar, Lady Hydari Park, Airforce Museum, Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls- definitely the most popular tourist site of Shillong. Then proceed to Guwahati en-route visit Don Bosco Museum, Lum Nehru Park at Umium and majestic Barapani (Umiam Lake) wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-Pines and surrounded by sylvan hills and blue skies. By reaching Guwahati check in a hotel and relax. Stay overnight at Guwahati.
Day 07 Maa Kamakhya Temple Darshan & Guwahati Local Sightseeing:
Early in the mooring 5 O’clock proceed to darshan of Maa Kamakhya Temple located at top of the Nilachal hill in heart of the Guwahati city. After visiting the temple come back to hotel for breakfast. Explore the Guwahati city. The city is a major tourist place in Assam due to its scenic natural beauty. The river Mighty Brahmaputra flowing through the city. Experience India’s longest Ropeway over the river Brahmaputra, State Emporium, world smallest River Island Umananda, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra, Shri Balaji Temple which were very beautiful and clean. In the evening enjoy the River Cruise Ride on the river Mighty Brahmaputra to view the excellent sunset scenery with good music and light snacks. Visit Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre. Stay overnight at Guwahati.
Day 08 Guwahati Airport/ Rly Station Drop, Tour End:
After breakfast check out from hotel and we will drop you at Guwahati Airport / Rly. Station with an everlasting memory. Tour End.
